An architecture exhibition focusing on traditional Chinese enclosed houses launched in Italy on Friday as one of the highlighted exhibitions at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale.
The Change of Enclosed House – A Dialogue About Chinese Immigrant Architecture exhibition adopts the theme of “immigrant architecture” to explore how traditional Chinese customs have been integrated into modern life, as well as to see how this “new fusion” became a tool that inspires people from different backgrounds to seek better multi-cultural communication. The Venice Biennale of Architecture is an International exhibition held every other year in Venice, Italy. It is dedicated to showing architecture projects around the world.
The 2021 event was curated by Lebanese educator and architect Hashim Sarkis and focuses on the theme of How will we live together?, a reflection on the aftermath of the COVID-19.
